P. C. Nascimbene conducts research on ancient organisms preserved in amber and sedimentary rock, and does physicochemical studies of amber. AMNH Expeditions: western India (2009, 2010, 2012) to excavate Eocene amber; the Dolomites of northern Italy (2011) to recover Triassic amber; the Hell Creek Form. of SD (2010) for Late Cretaceous amber; and exposures along the Kaolak River / northern Alaska to recover mid-Cretaceous amber. Paul is a past President of the New York Paleontological Society.
